Little Fish

Little Fish is a band that gets closer to the the fans, the root of the story and of the song, as comfortable playing house parties as they are the Royal Albert Hall.

Juju was interviewed on this week’s BBC Introducing in Oxford show, talking about the new line-up and explaining more about the blog post that everyone in Oxford seems to have read. ;)

It’s a good interview, and it’s worth a listen (as always) for the top notch local music.

We’re playing in Turkey again, thanks to our friends at Babylon.

The event page has all the details, but it’s in Turkish (of course). Luckily Google Translate gave me a great new Little Fish bio:

Little Fish, a collection of the British indie-rock/garage, passionate and sincere music since 2008 in addition to the United Kingdom, Europe and America, thanks to their concerts, a community in many ways as soon as possible. Jointly by the unusual scene, hard drums and Hammond organ more emotional melodies in the same crucible dissolves the spirit of punk’s first album Little Fish’s “Baffled and Beat” was released in 2010.

    Little Fish: a 2012 update →

I woke up this morning with a feeling that I should write something to you to explain a little about what has been going on in Fishville, behind the scenes, within our Rubik’s Cube, in my head.

Juju has written an important message for the Fish fans. An update. An explanation.

It’s long, so get yourself a cup of tea and go and read it

Anonymous asked: Where can I find the song about Oxford? The aforementioned Andrew played it to me but I have only got as far as this website.

I think you might be looking for this: http://spintown.bandcamp.com/track/oxford

Darling Dear Black Casino with Little Fish @ The Drawingroom (by thedrawingroom)

We had a bit of fun at the Drawing Room with Elisa and Ariel from Black Casino and The Ghost (who you may remember from our Barfly show last year). They were headlining the show, and we got up to do a couple of tunes with them – one of ours and one of theirs.

This is a very different version of Darling Dear, with Elisa and Juju splitting the vocal duties and me keeping time (ish) with a kick drum turned sideways.

If you haven’t had a chance to hear BCATG yet, listen to their music on their website or, better yet, just buy the EP. It’s very good. ;)

    My Band T-Shirt: 93. Little Fish, Wonderful (2011) →

    mybandtshirt:

This is the only band T-shirt that I own. And I will never wear it.

I like the idea of this site - personal stories of band t-shirts. There’s a beautiful but sad story about Geoff’s Wonderful t-shirt and how he was Nez’s biggest fan!

I have so many band t-shirts. I rarely wear them, but I could never throw them away. I bought most of them at gigs, and they are like an old photo album or a collection of books - more meaningful than anyone else will ever understand…

Anonymous asked: I joined the paper club and i was sent 2 Little fish logo stickers and they are awesome! i dont see them for sale in ur shop just wanted to know if they are for sale any where so i can get some more!

Thanks! We haven’t sold stickers in the past - we tend to give them away at gigs and randomly when we send out merch – but there’s no reason why we can’t…

We have a load of new (and old) t-shirts to add to the online shop soon. We’ll bag up some stickers and add those too. Keep an eye on the usual channels (Twitter, FB or here on the blog) and we’ll let you know when the new stuff is up.
