We played another acoustic gig at the Drawing Room in Chesham on Saturday. It was a long night, but worth every minute. We played a good mix of songs, and I played iPad on a few as well as the usual harmonica. On Better Tell God I used the Polychord app (a digital version of the old Omnichord synth) and on Too Late and Wonderful I used the flute and strings sounds on the M3000, a Mellotron app. The M3000 is sampled from the original Mellotron tapes and sounds beautiful…
But mostly it was a good old fashioned rock’n’roll acoustic set. We had been rehearsing with Nez all morning so there was a bit of Bonnie Tyler in some of Juju’s high notes (which just makes them sound even better ;). Petrus took some great photos and a cool video of Morning Call (thanks, Petrus!).
We took along the new badges too, and sold them five at a time in little bags (you can get them in the shop too). There are twenty different designs, and at the moment you can only buy a bag of five random ones. Already people are asking how they can get all twenty, so we’ve added that option to the shop today. Aren’t we thoughtful?!
