Little Fish @ Port Mahon, Oxford by Big_Franko on Flickr.
The Port Mahon acoustic gig on Monday was awesome. Frank not only drove down from Halifax to see it (!!), he posted some great photos the next day. I’m pretty sure he can’t have slept.
Thanks, Frank. ;)

Wow! The Squid Squad has struck again, this time with a campaign to get us on Later… With Jools Holland!
It all kicked off yesterday, when the Squids decided to start a revolution:
We think it would be ace if Little Fish could get to play on Later… with Jools Holland.
If you want to see Little Fish on this amazing programme, write Jools a pretty postcard without delay and send it to: Later… with Jools Holland, Room 385, Drama Building, BBC TV Centre, Wood Lane, London W12 7RJ.
We will start a tweet campaign in the meantime. Tweet @bbclater about how awesome @littlefishmusic are and include the hashtag #laterjools
But still send a postcard to make a proper statement!
Across the country, postcards were scribbled and stamps licked. Everyone started emailing everyone they know to ask them to join in the campaign…

Meanwhile on Twitter, things were starting to go insane. I pulled together a quick collection of 77 tweets from 47 people that mentioned @littlefishmusic, but there were loads more and they’re still going!

It’s so great when our fans do something like this out of the blue, and of course we’re happy to support it. As @substandardnerd so eloquently put it:
What do we want? @littlefishmusic on @bbclater! When do we want it? At a date convenient with everyone involved! #laterjools

Recording Little Fish demos with Gaz Coombes
We went over to Gaz’s place to record demos of 11 new songs in 2 days (!!!), and this is a little snapshot of how it went. Ever seen Juju play the violin…?

It’s going to get harder to make good music, and break barriers, if everyone’s being pushed in the same direction and then dropped if they don’t sell. There are bands – like Sleigh Bells and Little Fish – who are slowly creeping through the cracks. I hope they make it, because the next generation of girls needs them.
